These brief summaries represent an overview of the belief statements for Walk in Faith Church and provide direction for the Pastoral Team, the Leadership Team,\u00a0Ministry\u00a0Council, and the congregation. Inspired by Holy Spirit and guided by the Holy Scriptures, we have prayerfully wrestled with each statement and invite questions and positive, open & honest conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n
We believe that God sets a standard that may, at times, conflict with general beliefs of society. We believe it is the responsibility of every Christian to wrestle with each of these belief statements and as a result, deepen your knowledge, experience and personal relationship with God.<\/p>\n\n\n
We acknowledge that, as humans, we are not perfect individuals but daily fall short of God’s perfect standard. All are welcome in our community of faith without reservation or judgement and given an opportunity to grow in a sincere desire to become a Disciple of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n
We believe in the one true God, eternally comprised and existing as three parts: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of the universe and the ruler of mankind. God is active in the world, drawing all to Himself.<\/p>\n\n\n
God is good and kind, merciful and just.\u00a0 He invites all into deep and abiding relationship, forgives all who call upon His Name and will one day judge both the living and the dead.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Holy Spirit is the fullness of God as part of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit actively works in and through Believers. He bestows God’s nature and gifts, enabling the children of God to walk their Christian journey. The Spirit is present in all believers – indwelling, sanctifying, guiding, baptizing, empowering, comforting and forgiving.<\/p>\n\n\n

Established as an ordinance by Jesus in the Great Commission, water baptism is a public, outward testimony that indicates a personal, inward faith. It gives evidence of the inner change that occurrs\u00a0in a\u00a0believer\u2019s life when he or she was \u201cborn again\u201d through faith in Jesus Christ.\u00a0 It associates the believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and signifies the believer\u2019s death to the old life and his or her resurrection as a new creation in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n
